“When we started writing ‘Forever in Bloom’ I had sort of a selfish mindset on all of the themes for the songs. I was at an incredibly low point in life and a lot of my personal relationships were disintegrating because of it. I started writing lyrics to the songs the guys had written and most of the time I would sit and think ‘No one in the band is going to be able to relate to what I’m saying, let alone anyone outside of the band?’ and it was at that point that it didn’t really matter anymore. The songs at some points were really hard to write and dealt with things that even some of my closest friends didn’t really know about. Since then, it’s almost been cathartic playing these songs and I’m honestly pretty glad it turned out the way it did.”
